Description

The SIONICS Extreme Reduced Gas Port Barrel is a silencer-optimized barrel that is designed to work with .30 caliber or full-size silencers. The reduced gas port helps to minimize gas blowback, felt recoil, and carbon build-up, resulting in a smoother and more comfortable shooting experience. THE SIONICS EXTREME REDUCED GAS PORT BARREL IS NOT DESIGNED FOR USE WITH FLOW-THROUGH SILENCERS.

Here are some of the benefits of using the SIONICS Extreme Reduced Gas Port Barrel:

  • Reduced gas blowback: The reduced gas port helps to reduce the amount of gas that is expelled from the barrel when the gun is fired. This can help to reduce the amount of gas that is blown back into the shooter’s face, which can be uncomfortable and can also cause eye irritation.
  • Reduced felt recoil: The reduced gas port also helps to reduce the amount of felt recoil that the shooter experiences. This is because the reduced gas port helps to slow down the movement of the bolt carrier group, which in turn reduces the amount of recoil that is felt by the shooter.
  • Reduced carbon build-up: The reduced gas port also helps to reduce the amount of carbon build-up that occurs inside the gun. This is because the reduced gas port helps to reduce the amount of gas that is expelled from the barrel, which in turn reduces the amount of carbon that is deposited inside the gun.

The SIONICS Silencer Dedicated Barrel has the smallest gas port and is designed to work with silencers with a lot of back pressure like K sized (short) silencers. The reduced gas port helps to minimize gas blowback, felt recoil, and carbon build-up, resulting in a smoother and more comfortable shooting experience. THE SIONICS SILENCER DEDICATED BARREL IS NOT DESIGNED FOR USE WITH FLOW-THROUGH SILENCERS.

SIONICS Weapon Systems Complete Rifles, Complete Upper Receivers and Complete Lower Receivers are Guaranteed to Run for Life, Period. If you shoot out the barrel, we’ll replace it. If you need replacement parts, we’ll send them to you. If you break your Rifle, we’ll fix it. If your Rifle is taken into evidence after Justifiable Use of Deadly Force, we’ll replace it for you. Let’s break that down for you.

  • Who is Covered – Anyone with an unaltered Complete SIONICS Firearm, Upper Receiver or Lower Receiver
  • What is Covered –  Anything and Everything related to the function of Complete Firearms, Upper Receivers and Lower Receivers
  • What is Not Covered 
    • Modifying the internals of the Complete Firearm, Upper Receiver or Lower Receiver.
    • Using Non-Factory Ammunition (aka Reloads)
    • Careless Handling, Abuse or Misuse
    • Rust or Corrosion
    • Barrel Obstruction
    • Altering or Modifying existing Parts
    • Damages caused by failure to perform normal maintenance
    • Damages due to high velocity, high pressure, reloaded, remanufactured, or other non-standard ammunition
    • Cosmetic damages
    • Dimensional alterations caused from Cerakote or Paint (for example the removal of too much material or the addition of too much material altering the tolerance of components)
  • How Long is it Covered – Lifetime of the unaltered Complete Firearm, Upper or Lower Receiver
  • How will it be Covered – All Deemed Defective Parts will be either Repaired or Replaced by SIONICS staff

    WARRANTY PROCESSING INSTRUCTIONS

Step 1:

Call 520.396.3460 (Monday – Thursday 7:00 – 17:00 MST) and speak with one of our Excellent SIONICS staff to begin the troubleshooting process of your product. If deemed necessary you will then obtain an RMA# (Return Merchandise Authorization) to initiate the warranty claim. Outside of business hours please email us at warranty@sionicsweaponsystems.com

Step 2:

Once established that your item should return to SIONICS for further inspection, you will need to ship your defective/non-working item.

Return the item to our facility:
Make sure your assigned RMA# is clearly displayed on the outside of all return packages. This is necessary to match each package to the correct warranty claim. In addition please include a document listing your RMA#, Name, Phone Number as well as email address.

Our team here at SIONICS will work quickly to process your claim. Once your item is received, we will inspect and test within one business day. If the item is deemed defective, we will communicate back to you on your claim with the appropriate plan for repair or replacement.

Surprise! It does not stand for Assault Rifle. The AR in AR-15 stands for Armalite, who is the original designer and manufacturer of the AR-15.

Luckily you can purchase right here on the website. Of course full firearms and lower receivers are considered to be restricted items and must be shipped to an FFL.

So add your configured SIONICS firearm or lower receiver to the cart and in the additional notes add the information for your FFL. We will reach out to them and get a copy of their license and then let them know when its on its way to them!

All SIONICS firearms and products must be paid for in full at the time of order to ensure there aren’t complications when it comes time to shipping.

Here at SIONICS, we test fire EVERY BCG, upper receiver group, and firearm.

Our test firing process is simple:

  • BCGs get 5 rounds of M193 and another single round in a separate magazine to ensure function, ejection pattern, and lock-back.
  • All upper receiver groups and firearms get 7 rounds of M193 and another single round in a separate magazine to ensure function, ejection pattern, and lock-back.

SIONICS handguards are incredibly rigid and the inherent design features ensure anti-rotation. Through rigorous testing both by SIONICS and the many LE agencies using SIONICS rifles we can ensure zero retention when using IR/VIS aiming devices.

SIONICS handguards feature QD attachment points at the forward and rear 3 and 9 o’clock positions. SIONICS QD receiver sockets are anti-rotational.

SIONICS triggers have an extremely clean break due to the NiB plating and our stringent machining and QC processes. SIONICS triggers also have an incredibly tactile reset allowing for quick and easy follow up shots or high round count strings of fire.

By sending all of our barrels to Radiograph, or X-Ray testing we are able to identify possible structural defects within the barrel.

This is an example of a barrel defect that would not be detected to the naked eye.
