The SIONICS 12.5″ Upper Receiver is a fully complete Upper Receiver Group, designed for the most accurate and durable configuration. They are fully assembled, headspaced, and test fired to ensure reliability and accuracy.

Description

If you choose the Extreme Reduced Gas Port Barrel, your Complete Upper Receiver will not come with the SIONICS A2 Style Flash Hider. If desired, you can send your own muzzle device to be installed on your Upper Receiver. If you would like to use your own Muzzle Device, please email sales@sionicsweaponsystems.com and you will receive instructions for mailing. 

The SIONICS Extreme Reduced Gas Port Barrel* is a silencer-optimized barrel that is designed to work with most silencers. The reduced gas port helps to minimize gas blowback, felt recoil, and carbon build-up, resulting in a smoother and more comfortable shooting experience. THE SIONICS EXTREME REDUCED GAS PORT BARREL IS NOT DESIGNED FOR USE WITH FLOW-THROUGH SILENCERS.

Here are some of the benefits of using the SIONICS Extreme Reduced Gas Port Barrel:

  • Reduced gas blowback: The reduced gas port helps to reduce the amount of gas that is expelled from the barrel when the gun is fired. This can help to reduce the amount of gas that is blown back into the shooter’s face, which can be uncomfortable and can also cause eye irritation.
  • Reduced felt recoil: The reduced gas port also helps to reduce the amount of felt recoil that the shooter experiences. This is because the reduced gas port helps to slow down the movement of the bolt carrier group, which in turn reduces the amount of recoil that is felt by the shooter.
  • Reduced carbon build-up: The reduced gas port also helps to reduce the amount of carbon build-up that occurs inside the gun. This is because the reduced gas port helps to reduce the amount of gas that is expelled from the barrel, which in turn reduces the amount of carbon that is deposited inside the gun.

*The SIONICS Extreme Reduced Gas Port Barrel is a silencer-optimized barrel that is designed to work with the HIGHEST Back pressure cans*. The reduced gas port helps to minimize gas blowback, felt recoil, and carbon build-up, resulting in a smoother and more comfortable shooting experience. Being that the 12.5″ barrel is a mid-length gas system, it is already an extremely soft shooting barrel. We highly recommend pairing the Reduced Gas 12.5″ barrels with high back pressure silencers like the SilencerCo Saker K, OCL Polonium, or YHM Turbo series etc.

SIONICS COMPLETE FIREARMS, UPPER RECEIVERS AND LOWER RECEIVERS WARRANTY

SIONICS Weapon Systems Complete Rifles, Complete Upper Receivers and Complete Lower Receivers are Guaranteed to Run for Life, Period. If you shoot out the barrel, we’ll replace it. If you need replacement parts, we’ll send them to you. If you break your Rifle, we’ll fix it. If your Rifle is taken into evidence after Justifiable Use of Deadly Force, we’ll replace it for you. Let’s break that down for you.

  • Who is Covered – Anyone with an unaltered Complete SIONICS Firearm, Upper Receiver or Lower Receiver
  • What is Covered –  Anything and Everything related to the function of Complete Firearms, Upper Receivers and Lower Receivers
  • What is Not Covered 
    • Modifying the internals of the Complete Firearm, Upper Receiver or Lower Receiver.
    • Using Non-Factory Ammunition (aka Reloads)
    • Careless Handling, Abuse or Misuse
    • Rust or Corrosion
    • Barrel Obstruction
    • Altering or Modifying existing Parts
    • Damages caused by failure to perform normal maintenance
    • Damages due to high velocity, high pressure, reloaded, remanufactured, or other non-standard ammunition
    • Cosmetic damages
    • Dimensional alterations caused from Cerakote or Paint (for example the removal of too much material or the addition of too much material altering the tolerance of components)
  • How Long is it Covered – Lifetime of the unaltered Complete Firearm, Upper or Lower Receiver
  • How will it be Covered – All Deemed Defective Parts will be either Repaired or Replaced by SIONICS staff

    WARRANTY PROCESSING INSTRUCTIONS

Step 1:

Call 520.396.3460 (Monday – Thursday 7:00 – 17:00 MST) and speak with one of our Excellent SIONICS staff to begin the troubleshooting process of your product. If deemed necessary you will then obtain an RMA# (Return Merchandise Authorization) to initiate the warranty claim. Outside of business hours please email us at warranty@sionicsweaponsystems.com

Step 2:

Once established that your item should return to SIONICS for further inspection, you will need to ship your defective/non-working item.

Return the item to our facility:
Make sure your assigned RMA# is clearly displayed on the outside of all return packages. This is necessary to match each package to the correct warranty claim. In addition please include a document listing your RMA#, Name, Phone Number as well as email address.

Step 3:

Our team here at SIONICS will work quickly to process your claim. Once your item is received, we will inspect and test within one business day. If the item is deemed defective, we will communicate back to you on your claim with the appropriate plan for repair or replacement.

    This upper is extremely underrated and slept on! My “go-to” was my 11.5” Geissele Super Duty and now it’s this (12.5” SIONICS)! Pair this with an A5 buffer system and this thing runs so smooth! Amazing guys to work with and we’re also very helpful. A great company with great products and customer service to match.
